Title Guest Appearances

Two HeathersDuring the cashspiel season from September to December 2008, we will be competing without our star second Heather Moulding. She will be working on developing the next generation of Canadian curlers, as her and partner Steve Jensen prepare and have Baby Mo. Check out the Baby Timeline for status on her comeback and our little addition.

While she is away we have the honor of guest appearances from great players from Alberta and around Canada. The following rock stars will be competing with us this year. We are excited to have these great players help us on our quest for Gold. Thanks for helping us out, we look forward to laughing and learning with you on our journey!!

Boston Pizza Shootout in Edmonton - Lori Bellows. Lori is a great player from Calgary Alberta. She has competed as third for LaDawn Funk, Renelle Bryden as well as a great skip and all around player. Lori has a great attitude, is a straight shooter with a great eye for sweeping and we are very excited to have her aboard for the weekend.

CUETS Schmirler Charity Classic in Regina, Trail Appliances Grand Slam in Calgary and the Red Deer Classic in Red Deer - Tara Runquist. Tara has been competing for 15+ in Alberta representing the province at Juniors in the mid 90's. She spent most of her curling years competing with Bronwen Saunders and has had great success on the Tour as well as finishing in the Top 4 at the Alberta Provincials. Tara has competed with Rankin for 5 years as lead in Mixed where they lost a Provincial Final in 2006. Tara is on maternity leave after having Logan Wade Fowlie in November and we are extremely happy to have her aboard for three spiels. She is one of the best weight judgers and touch players in the game.

VCC Twins Anchors Curling Classic in Vernon - Charmaine Froese. Chairmaine is a misplaced Manitoban now living in Kelowna, BC. Lisa and Chairmaine are friends and they have competed against each other for years in Manitoba. Chairmaine is a great hitter, a power sweeper and a really fun lady. We are excited to have her join us in the spiel we won last year.

Wayden Transportation Grand Slam in Abbotsford - Mary Anne Arsenault. Mary-Anne needs no introduction as she is a multiple Canadian and World Champion in our sport and is the best second to ever play the women's game. We are so excited to play with Mary-Anne in Abbotsford. Rankin and Mary-Anne have competed at a Scott together and played in many Provincial championships in NS where Mary-Anne played third for Rankin.
