| Favorite Shot: |
Draw to the pin for hammer, for extra points or to score. Did I mention I have great sweepers. |
| Favorite Curling Moment: |
Beating Sherry Middaugh in the semi final of the Saskatoon spiel to qualify for the Olympic Trials. I had to make a draw through a very small port to the pin and the team executed perfectly. Also beating Glenn Howard in the final of the Heart to Heart Celebrity spiel in a captivating final :) |
| Favorite Female Curler: |
Colleen Jones as she has dominated our sport for 3 decades by always re-inventing herself, building amazing teams, and being the mentally toughest athlete that has ever played our game. |
| Favorite Male Curler: |
In the modern era it would be David Nedohin. He rivals Eddie Werenich as the best draw curler ever, can throw it hard accurately, is a tremendous athlete and is great with his family and the fans. |
| Curling Role Model: |
Ed Werenich has always been my role model. His motto was drink draw and win. He played hard, was great to the fans, had an amazing insight into the strategy of the game and was the best draw curler ever. Best advice he ever gave me was by the end of the first end know how to ice a draw to the pin for yourself on both turns. This is easy on arena ice but not so easy in a curling rink in Southern Alberta. |
| What I love about curling with this team: |
We are kindred spirits. We all approach the game with hard work, desire to improve, fun and a passion for the sport. The youth of this team inspires me to continue driving and improving to achieve more. The talent of the 3 ladies I play with is unrealized and they are all champions at life and will be legendary curlers. |
